Huge congratulations to Dej Kewkacha, the winner of Asia’s Best Pastry Chef Award 2025

2025 marks a triumphant return for Gaggan Anand's namesake restaurant, as it clinches the top position for the first time since revamping its concept and relocating in 2019. The restaurant previously dominated the rankings from 2015 to 2018. Celebrated for its cutting-edge approach to fine dining, it offers a contemporary interpretation of Indian cuisine infused with international flavors.
Bangkok and Tokyo are at the forefront of the rankings this year, each showcasing nine restaurants in the prestigious top 50 list. Hong Kong and Singapore also made a notable impact with seven entries each. Meanwhile, Seoul, the host city, along with Shanghai, proudly secured four positions in the 2025 awards.

A special recognition goes to Dej Kewkacha, honored with the "Asia's Best Pastry Chef" award, sponsored Valrhona. Dej's career is a testament to his passion and creativity. He opened Kyo Bar, Thailand's first and only dessert bar serving an 'omakase' menu of just desserts, combining top-quality Japanese and Thai ingredients with contemporary pastry techniques to create a distinctive culinary experience. Last year, he further extended his influence by taking on the role of Executive Pastry Chef at the renowned Gaggan restaurant at Louis Vuitton, where he infuses his expertise into the dessert offerings.
Heartfelt congratulations to all the nominees and winners!
