In 1986, we sparked a revolution by creating the world’s most bitter chocolate with a cocoa content of 70%.

To create Guanaja, Valrhona formulated a complex blend of the aromatic profiles found in classic Trinidadian, Dominican, Jamaican, Ghanaian, Ivorian and Madagascan cocoas.
